We believe that investing time in all steps of our production process has a great impact on the final product. For this reason, we hand craft each part of our products using a combination of traditional and innovative methods. We believe in working with fresh ingredients as much as possible. We strongly believe that the production of high quality products depends upon the highest quality ingredients. During the summer, we cook our jams which we use to naturally enhance the flavor of our products.

We also grow some fruits in our family garden in Berlin e.g. apples, plums, grapes and use these in some of our products. We feel that our products should reflect our family history, and purchase our hazelnuts from the hazelnut field of our grandparents in Turkey. We also use pistachios, honey, dried fruits and other nuts from trusted farmers in Turkey. 

FAQ

  • We would like to accommodate all orders but we can only take a limited amount of orders in order to allow sufficient time to produce our specaility, handcrafted products. We recommend our customers to contact us as early as possible, ideally 3-6 months in advance for wedding cakes. For all other cake inquiries we recommend to contact us 1-2 weeks in advance. As a matter of course, we will give our very best to accommodate any other requests.

  • In order to find your perfect cake for your special day, we offer a personal online consultation and talk through your personal wishes. During this half an hour consultation we talk about all design details of your cake. You can either choose a design from our portfolio or we will design your cake from scratch. We ask you to bring as many inspirations as possible, such as invitation cards, picture of your dress, flowers, color scheme, number of guests and total budget for cake and other products.

  • we recommend our clients to do a tasting especially for bigger cake orders such as wedding cakes. You can simply reserve the flavors of your interest and come along on our opening hours (Saturday & Sunday 12-6pm) to get your cake samples. Please make sure to order minimum 3-4 days in advance, we offer six main flavors to choose from:

    -Chocolate Berry

    -Lemon-Blueberry

    -Carrot Cake (contains nuts)

    -Vanilla-passionsfruit+ raspberry

    -Banana- caramel+ roasted nuts

    -White chocolate+ pistachios+ raspberry (contains almonds)

    We offer the samples as cakes slices for 6€ each or as a cupcake for 4€ each.

  • Collection of your order from our shop is free of charge. Please note that not all of our products are suitable for collection, as some need to be delivered and assembled professionally by our team (e.g. from 4-tiered cakes and upwards). We will let you know whether your products are suitable for collection or not upon consultation and give you instructions for transport and storage. The full responsibility of the safety of the products are with the customer after collection. Dilekerei is not liable for any damages that occur after this point in time.

  • We deliver our multi tiered wedding cakes within central Berlin and assemble it right at the venue for you. Other suitable cakes can be collected free of charge from our shop. Price of delivery depends on the distance between the location and our shop. Please contact us for more information regarding delivery. 

    We offer our full professional service including contacting event mangers/ wedding planner. in order to ensure that the entire delivery process goes smooth, and assemble your cake at the venue. We highly recommend booking your delivery as soon as possible in order to give us enough time to plan the delivery ahead of your event, ideally 4-6 weeks in advance.

  • We will do our best to accommodate all of your desired order, please consider that wedding cakes in particular need advance planning and production. The final version of your order needs to be confirmed at least 6 weeks before completion. 

    Please note that all cakes can have slight differences. Both the color, design and size may vary slightly, and we want to point out that there should always be room for artistic freedom for us to choose the best-suited look for the cake.

  • If you wish to cancel your order, please let us know immediately, latest 6 weeks before completion. We can not accept any later cancellations and the deposit is not refundable in that case.

  • To present your cakes, cupcakes and cookies at your special event, we additionally offer as a part of our service the rental of selected pieces of our cake stands and plates. You can view them in our shop and book for a fee+deposit. You will get back your deposit when you return the pieces within an agreed time after hiring in a clean and cared-for condition. 

  • The full payment has to be completed within 14 days after receiving the invoice. If you order your cake less than 4 weeks in advance, the full payment is required on order confirmation. You can pay either with cash or via bank transfer.
