I was born and raised in Berlin, where I studied Food Science and Technology at the university level. Over the years, I have lived and worked in several cities across the UK, as well as in New York City and Berlin. During my academic journey, I was awarded multiple scholarships from the European Commission, allowing me to pursue studies abroad and broaden my international perspective.

My professional experience includes working with some of the UK’s leading cake companies, where I gained first hand experiences in cake design and decoration and developed a deep appreciation for craftsmanship and creativity. Prior to opening my own shop in 2013, I was based in London. After several years abroad, I returned to Berlin to establish dilekerei, a space where I could combine my technical background with my passion for artisanal cake making.
